This guitar is in excellent condition showing limited playing time.

The back story: Jimmy D'Aquisto was the last and possibly the most celebrated apprentice to the icon and legendary John D'Angelico. In a seemingly brief career of a few decades, Jimmy D'Aquisto created a phenomenal body of work, his instruments are now some of the most valuable and sought-after archtops ever made. Jimmy was also determined that some of his instruments should be available to the working guitarist. In a collaboration with Fender Musical Instruments, he created a number of more accessibly priced instruments that are highly prized by players to this day.

The Fender D'Aquisto Standard was produced in Japan in limited quantities and features a number of D'Aquisto's signature designs. The body is laminated maple and the soundboard has his original single point soundholes. All the appointments are rosewood, including a contoured tailpiece, an adjustable compensated bridge, a narrow-bound pickguard and solid rosewood control knobs. Two specially designed Schaller humbucking pickups offers fat, classic jazz tone with superior feedback resistance. The dimensions similar to the ES-175. But the 16" body is comfortable to hold with a sleek 2 3/4" body depth The 24 3/4" scale makes for smooth comfortable playing.

This is a beautiful and rare instrument. It plays smoothly and sounds great!

Original hard-shell case included.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
