1953 Fender Deluxe Amplifier Wide Panel (model 5B3)We found this beauty in an estate sale in the Midwest. She is in amazing shape. You will see some normal wear and minor stain in certain spots in the tastefully aged tweed cover. No tears or repairs. The grill cover appears to be the original brown mohair in great condition, completing that full vintage vibe. The entire amp has been inspected and set up from stem to stern by our professional electronics tech. Primarily, parts that needed replacement were accomplished with new old stock. We have included a photo of the parts that were replaced and can ship with amp if you ask. The speaker code, original tube dates, and numbers all match up to internal sticker and year. The speaker is the original (unbelievably sweet) Jensen Alnico 5 pm 12” speaker. The original handle has been replaced with a period correct handle at some point and is secure and safe for transport. The old handle, though not functional, can be included if you desire. We had the cord replaced (as is typical for these older amps) with a new three-prong grounded plug so that it is safe and steady. This is a fully tested and restored, plug-and-play amp. The tone and sound of this very rare amp cannot be compared with anything you have ever played. They just don’t make them like this anymore, and have not for years. 66 years young--looks and sounds fantastic! This is an amp for the discerning player or well-informed collector. Don’t miss the chance to add this very rare one to your collection or use it to create true vintage sound like no other.

We make every effort to provide you honest information about the instrument you purchase. However, every flaw, scratch or ding may not be photographed or noticed on every instrument. By the nature of what we are collecting and selling, virtually all vintage instruments will have dings, scratches, and various other imperfections that come with age and use. We call it character. That's why we love them. Please carefully look at photographs and contact us if you require additional information. Please note that every instrument has been inspected and set up by our luthier for playability and appearance. But, your instrument may still require additional set up by you to make it exactly what is most comfortable and acceptable to you. In the unlikely event that your instrument arrives in a condition with damage or other issues not previously anticipated, please contact us immediately and we will assist. Should a return be required due to damage incurred in route, we must be notified within 48 hours. Please note that all other returns are at the recipients expense. Contact us to authorize and assist you in either case so that we can minimize cost and ensure the safe return of the instrument. All returns must arrive in the same condition in which they left our store and be insured for the full value of the instrument.
