I've sold hundreds of Fender tweeds over the years and I've managed to find mint or near mint examples of just about all of them (except the HP Twin). The smaller the amp, the easier it is to find mint ones as the small ones tended not to go to gigs. Deluxes went to plenty of gigs but some stayed home. Like this one. I hesitate to call anything mint but this is the cleanest Deluxe I've ever owned and probably the cleanest I've ever seen. Theres a little scuff on the upper back panel. There's a little rust around the glides on the bottom. Some dust inside but it's essentially a new amp. No changed parts. All original including the filter caps. All the tubes are probably original GE except the 12AY7 which is a Sylvania. There was a GE 12AX7 in the v1 position (for more gain) so we know that one was not original. Prices for crappy Deluxes are up where the collector grade stuff was just 18 months ago. I'm almost embarrassed to price this as high as the current rate for a Deluxe this clean. But, I don't make the market and I'd rather pay $12K for a near mint one than $7500 for a ratty one with every cap changed and a retweed. Or $8K with the wrong speaker and a changed output transformer. In fact, I can't find a narrow panel Deluxe that has most of its original caps except for one with no tweed left at all and one missing both original transformers. There is one for $16,000 though. So, yeah $12K is a ton of money for a Deluxe but good luck finding another this clean.
