This 1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb serial number A25534 is in excellent condition. The filter caps, and reverb tank are new. That was all that was needed to bring this vintage lovely up to the great condition it is in.

The original Deluxe Reverb featuring circuit types AA763, and later AB763 was introduced during the "blackface" era of Fender amplifiers with a black control panel and white lettering. In 1967, two years after Fender was purchased by CBS, Fender began issuing amps with a silver metallic control panel face plate and light blue lettering. This gave birth to the silverface" era, and the Deluxe Reverb followed suit with a silverface in 1968. The 1968 Deluxe was the only year to incorporate the “Drip Edge” chrome grille surround. The circuit design remained largely unchanged through the ensuing years, and the control face was changed back to a blackface in 1980. The Deluxe Reverb was discontinued in 1982.

These early Deluxe Reverb amps have become somewhat of a holy grail for Fender tube tone, with 22 watts and a single 12” speaker, a great reverb and tremolo, simplicity at its best. Warm chimey tone is what these are all about.

Own a true piece of American guitar amplification history, not a “Custom” or revamped reissue, (we don’t want no stinking printed circuit boards) the real hand wired Drip Edge tone machine.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another
person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and
there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required. Some clients would prefer no signature required when the purchase is delivered. Please specify when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
