1966 Fender® Electric Mandolin Perfect Sunburst, Near Mint, Original Hard

Spectacular example of a near perfect 1966 Fender Electric Mandolin serial number 02763 with original hard shell case, Fender strap, store hang/price tags, and case keys in manila envelope. Near perfect instrument with almost no playing wear whatsoever, no fret wear, no abuse wear. The tip of the pickguard has broken off but is still around in the manilla envelope containing the keys. One can only tell the instrument has an older finish by the mimicking of the grain of the alder body occurring over time and is a look specific to Fender lacquer, the maple neck with rosewood fingerboard is also lacquer with the correct era transitional gold Fender decal. Several years later the finish of this instrument becomes Polyurethane and the decal changed to black. Perfectly straight neck with low action, no fret wear whosoever, no modifications or repairs, a beautiful instrument perfect for any player or collector. A wonderful investment for only $2499.
