Here we have a 1983 ’62 Reissue Fender Jazz Bass made in Fullerton, CA. This bass is in good to very good condition with a few micro dings here and there and otherwise normal playwear. The factory finish exhibits some roughness which can be seen only if you look closely, but this is typical of the Fullerton models and doesn’t really detract from the overall appearance. This is one sharp looking bass.
Nickel vintage-style tuners. Corian nut with 1.5 inch width. Maple neck with 34 inch scale. Neck depth of .8125 inches at the first fret and .875 inches at the twelfth fret. Neck is pencil dated “1-26-83.” Rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets (pro refret) and 7.25 inch radius. Stock Fender Jazz pickups with CTS pots dating to 1982. Stack knob controls. Replaced 3-ply Warmouth parchment pickguard. Body stamped “Nov 15 1982.”
This is a highly sought after early Reissue model made in Fullerton. Plays and sounds very well. Comes with a newer hardshell case.
