Description

Summary: The Highway 1 Stratocaster was a “Back to Basics” American Stratocaster that Fender manufactured from 2002 – 2011. This Left handed Stratocaster is in great used condition & it feels incredible up and down the neck.

Body: Solid alder body with thin satin transparent Crimson red finish.

Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, skunk stripe, white dots, 25.5” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: 3 single coil Alnico pickups, 5-way switch, 1 volume, 2 tone knobs, original Fender tuning keys, black knobs, white pickup covers & a white backplate.

Cosmetics: The Highway One series is known to have a very light finish that shows wear easily & this one is starting to age very nicely. There are lots of small dings on the top, lots of signs of pick scratching on the pickguard & above the guard on the top. The back has lots of scratches, dings and buckle rash. This Stratocaster was played but not abused and it does show lots of wear consistent with a 15 year old instrument.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: The original white pickguard has been replaced with a tortoise shell pickguard and the knobs have replaced with black knobs.

Weight: 7 lbs, 8 oz.

Case: This Highway 1 Stratocaster comes with a gig bag & we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
