2021 Fender Jag-Stang Sonic Blue

Used 2021 Fender Jag-Stang serial number MX21525354.
This guitar is in excellent condition. The original owner was meticulous with this instrument and pursued numerous modifications.
The fingerboard has been re-planed and the frets have been replaced with Dunlop medium jumbo frets.
The pickups have been replaced with a DiMarzio Super Distortion S in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 in the neck position, the SSL-5 has a custom chosen cover that does not show the pole pieces. The pickguard was custom made to accept the SS configuration, as the original Jag-Stang was an S/HB configuration.
A further mod, the fretboard was re-radiused to 9.5” with Dunlop medium-jumbo frets to give it a higher performance feel.
Originally produced in 1996, after Kurt Cobain's death, Fender Japan reissued the Jag-Stang two years after its 2001 cancellation due to popular demand. Fender once again discontinued importing the Jag-Stang from Japan as of May 2006. On July 8, 2021, Fender announced that the Jag-Stang would be reissued once again to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Nevermind, and became available to purchase in October 2021. These Jag-Stangs would be made in Mexico for the first time.
