Welcome to JTKM STUDIO.
Here we have one of the finest 1962 slab board Fender Jaguar’s on the planet, complete with its original brown Tolex case, tremolo arm, bridge cover, polish cloth, keys to the case and a few original Fender string packets. Let us not forget to mention that this one happens to be in near new condition. If you’re a buyer, read on!
This is without doubt the finest slab board Fender Jaguar on the market by a long, long way. Take a moment to check out the photos and the short video, this one is more than a stunner. In our opinion, the best Sunbursts come from 1961 to early 1962 and this one is a prime example. It has a wonderful, deep and dark sunburst which truly is something to behold. Aside from a few indentations and markings from being stored in its case for the majority of its life, this one is in near new condition. We have kept this Jaguar in our private collection for quite a while for good reason.
This Jaguar is in 100% original condition, is set up perfectly and needs nothing. The Jaguar plays perfectly all over the neck, the frets are near 100% and there is no touch-up, repairs or replacements whatsoever. This is as good as they get!
The neck has a stamped neck date, dating to March 1962 with an A profile. That means it has a narrow nut, measuring at 1.53 inches yet the profile of the neck is very fat and full feeling which gives a well balanced feel throughout the fingerboard.
The pots are Stackpole branded (304) and both date to 32nd week of 1962. The pickups are very strong and deep sounding, with readings 7.47 ohms at the neck and 7.02 at the bridge.
It is worth mentioning that the case is about as clean as the Jaguar and it rounds off the package to perfection. Again, it just doesn’t get much better than this one!
There you have it, yet another masterpiece here at JTKM STUDIO.
