1963 Fender Jaguar! With the elusive white hardshell case! The good: Almost all original. Tuners have been replaced with Kluson replicas by Grover. Identical to Klusons. Nothing reamed or drilled. It appears that the capacitor on the main circuit, and the jack were replaced. A little overspray on the back of the neck, but most is worn off. Looks like someone touched up a few spots on the black part of the sunburst. It plays really nice, original frets show wear, but it plays well all over the neck. Action is low and easy. All electronics work as they should. The bad: As with almost every old Jaguar we see, the mute is deteriorated, and what's left of it is petrified. The other issue, the tortoise guard has shrunken around the bridge pickup, making raising the pickup impossible without trimming the guard. We don't want to do that. That can be your decision if you buy this cool old thing. As it is, the neck pickup is quite a bit louder than the bridge. Only because the bridge pickup is too low. Both pickups are in perfect working order. Overall, a nice old Jag. Pre-CBS, clay dots, white case, nuthin' but cool stuff goin' on here. We like it. We think you will too. Give us a call...
