Bind block 1966 Jaguar !
In 1958, Fender introduced the Jazzmaster in order to break into the jazz field, which was dominated by Gibson and Epiphone in the 1950s.
As a result, Fender did not succeed in attracting conservative jazz guitarists, but it became popular among surf music guitarists in the early 1960s.
The Jaguar was newly introduced for the surf music guitarists.
As with the Stratocaster, the Jaguar was developed with the same respect for musicians' opinions as the Stratocaster, and actively incorporated the requests of surf music guitarists who said that the neck scale was too long and that they wanted a brighter sound.
While inheriting the Jazzmaster's offset contour body, front preset tone, and floating tremolo unit, the neck scale was changed from the Jazzmaster's 25 1/2" to 24", and yokes (metal covers) were installed on the pickups, A low-cut switch was added in addition to the pickup selector to produce a high output and bright tone.
The Jaguar, packed with Fender's technology as described above, was released as Fender's top-of-the-line model.
After that, various artists used Jaguar due to the trend of alternative/grunge in 1990's, and Jaguar established its popularity even more, although it was different from the style that was originally intended.
In the middle of 1966, the specifications were changed to block position marks, and the Jaguar was manufactured with the same specifications until 1974, when its production was discontinued.
The 3-tone Sunburst of the mid-1960s often had a strong yellow tinge and the reddish part faded, but this one also has a strong period characteristic, with a color and austerity that can only be experienced at this age.
The refret has been applied, so the performance is high, and it can be used for many years to come.
