1966 Jaguar with matching head from the Bind Dot period!

Fender introduced the Jazzmaster in 1958 to enter the Jazz field, which was dominated by Gibson and Epiphone in the 1950s.
As a result, Fender did not succeed in capturing the conservative jazz guitarists, but it became popular among surf music guitarists in the early 60's. In the early 70's, Fender released the Jazzmaster in 1966.
Jaguar was newly introduced for surf music guitarists.
As with the Stratocaster, the Jaguar was developed with the same respect for musicians' opinions as the Stratocaster, and actively incorporated the requests of surf music guitarists who said that the neck scale was too long and that they wanted a brighter sound.
While inheriting the offset contour body, front preset tone, and floating tremolo unit of the Jazzmaster, the neck scale was changed from 25 1/2" to 24", a yoke (metal cover) was installed on the PU, and a low cut switch was added in addition to the PU selector. A low cut switch has also been added in addition to the PU selector to produce a higher output and brighter tone.
The Jaguar, packed with Fender's technology as described above, was released as Fender's top-of-the-line model.
After that, various artists used Jaguar in the 1990's due to the alterna/grunge trend, and Jaguar further established its popularity even though it was different from the style originally envisioned.

In the end of 1965, banding was wrapped around the fingerboard side, and in the middle of 1966, the specification was changed to block position marks, so the period of fingerboard side binding and dot position marks is very short and popular specification.
Various artists such as Kurt Cobain of Nirvana and John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers used this period's specs, so it is very popular and rare.
The pegs, bridge and front preset tone condensers have been replaced, but it is still cool and undiminished!

A must have matching head Jaguar with the coloring that only vintage can produce!
