1990 Fender James Burton Telecaster Black/Red Paisley
1990 Fender James Burton Telecaster: This guitar is a first year James Burton Signature Edition Telecaster. These early versions had Black hardware. The hardware on this guitar had seen heavy use so much of it was replaced with the original parts included(one knob required the set screw to be drilled out as it was frozen). The pickups are the original Red(Bridge), Silver(middle) and Blue(neck) pickups, having the color on the covers worn off. The pickup height screws are new. The neck is stamped by recently retired Custom Shop neck carver Herb Gastelum. The pickup switching system is a James Burton design 5-way switch which provides a unique Neck and Bridge in the center position. Pots are dated 1990. The guitar has been set up with 10 gauge strings and despite some light fret wear, plays without issue. The neck is on the large side without being a boat oar and measure .871 at the first fret and .942 at the 12th. There a few touched up ships and plenty of light surface blemished but it guitar looks great overall. It weighs in at 9lbs., 1oz. It will ship in the original Fender Tweed hard shell case that has seen heavy use but has been cleaned best possible and is structurally fine.

I will not be responsible for any shipping charges because you want to send the guitar back because you found a nick or ding that I did not describe or show in a photo.
