Fender Japan was established in 1982, but due to a change of distributor, the name Fender Japan disappeared in 2015.
After that, the original Fender still manufactures high quality instruments as MIJ (Made In Japan) series, but Fender Japan has gained a high reputation as Japan Vintage and is popular both at home and abroad.
This model is a reproduction of a 1962 Jazz Bass. The specifications have been changed to 1962 specs with three knobs: master tone and volume for each pickup, instead of one stacked knob with volume and tone for each pickup.
The model is about 30 years old, so there are some paint chips, etc., but the standard calm Jazz Bass sound is very versatile and is recommended for beginners!
