This 1994-1995 Fender Japan ST62-65AS was made to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stratocaster, and features a thicker maple neck with a flame pattern, giving it a massive look and feel. This model is a reproduction of a 1962 Fender Stratocaster with features such as a small head, spaghetti logo, maple neck and slab-applied rosewood fingerboard. The rosewood fingerboard provides smooth fingering and a softer attack than the maple fingerboard, and the body is made of alder, which gives the instrument a warmer sound with better tonal content. This model was made by Fujigen, a leading workshop in Japan, and is a classic Stratocaster with the quality of made-in-Japan construction.
