1997 Fender Japan O-Serial JM66 ’62 Reissue Jazzmaster Lake Placid Blue w/Matching Headstock CIJ Offset
For your consideration, one hard to source, Crafted in Japan, ’97 Fender ‘62 Reissue Jazzmaster in a rare Lake Placid Blue with a Matching Painted Headstock and Indian Rosewood Fretboard.
The Japanese made Fenders are really something to shout about and this JM is no exception, the fit and finish is what you’d expect of a Japanese made instrument, and is almost (if not!) just as good as it’s USA built counterparts.
Japanese made Jazzmasters in Custom Colours, such as this one, are becoming increasingly harder to source, even in Japan! Their popularity amongst the indie music community, coupled with high quality Japanese Craftsmanship, means demand is high and they are becoming more and more collectable.
Condition wise, our JM is a fine example, exhibiting general play-wear consistent with that of an instrument that has been used but well loved. Cosmetically, the finish is overall in great shape. The body has a few light nicks and there are scratches in the poly to the rear of the body, though these are nothing nasty nor wood bearing. It is apparent that at one time, both the body and pickguard had stickers applied, as you can see remnants from the now discoloured and faded finish. All of these have been pictured for reference, so please, take the time to review them carefully. The frets exhibit signs of use but still have tonnes of life left in them. The all original electronics work smoothly, as intended, and the stock pickups offer all the charm and chime, we love and adore the Fender Jazzmaster for.
It’s been professionally setup with a fresh set of 10-46 strings and has undergone a clean of the body, fretboard, frets and internals, this JM is glowing!
Included is a tremolo arm and an aftermarket gig bag.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and thanks for looking!
