This is an all original & very early production Pre-CBS "Stacked Pot” Jazz Bass w/all the 1st issue features in all original condition, it has its original quite clean Sunburst finish over a very lightweight Alder body, these 1st Jazz Basses are ridiculously rare, its "Unbound" Slab Rosewood Clay Dot neck is dated 3/61 & is super slim as only the 1st ones were & has an all in one logo w/the "counter body" portion inclusive. It's sporting a very low serial # (55XXX) stamped on its 4-bolt neck plate, its original Tortoiseshell Nitro pickgard has that luscious color used only in 1960-1, its 2 pickups are super smooth w/that quintessential “Jaco” sound !, its stacked pot date codes are from the 25th week of 1960, its original control cavity has the early type copper solder plates, its so cool from its nickel tuners to its threaded saddle bridge w/outside ground wire in place, it still retains its original string mutes, bridge & pickup covers stored in its case pocket, this is 1 of Leo's earliest Jazz Basses & has a vibey patina for a 62 year old original, it plays & feels incredible, a few negatives are a large thumb spot on its face & some slight buckle marks on the back side, she's still 1 of the most desirable examples on Earth, she's excellent overall &  comes complete w/an original Brown Tolex/Orange lined Hard Case.
