1966 was a big transition year for Fender. Under CBS's ownership, they went from unbound dot necks to bound dot necks to bound block necks and few other changes as well (like "lollipop tuners"). The good news is that CBS didn't mess with the design except in these small cosmetic ways. The basic Jazz Bass that everybody loved is still essentially the same. This one has a bound dot neck and lollipop tuners. Condition is 8.5/10. The color is still vibrant and shows some checking and a few scrapes and dings but it is very presentable. This one was delivered in Europe and got one of the Italian made "rifle" cases. Over all, it's a fairly rare variant in this finish and nice enough to have a place in any bass collection. All original with no excuses.
