Description

This Fender Jazz Bass is a 1973 from Steve's collection. It spent many years securely tucked away in his collection. It has not been exposed to light, weather changes, and it has not spent a lot of time hanging out in our store. I recently brought it into the store to give the local bass players a chance to see a really nice looking 1973 F series Jazz Bass. The serial number is 4240xx on the F plate. It is a rich sunburst with a bold maple neck with black block inlay. After 1968 the maple neck was available but was not the standard. The rosewood board was the standard. The finish is all intact and bright. It shows very minimal wear with a worm trail on the back and all finish intact. I took it out of its Fender case, polished it up a little, and that is all. Take note the ashtray is still in place, usually the first thing to go.The chrome is bright, fine, showing no pitting of course. The scale is 34 inches and the nut 1 3/8 inches. It will ship in its original Fender case. Please contact us with any questions or if you need a particular photograph.
