Description
1966 Fender JAZZ BASS with well-balanced vintage jazz bass sound.

In 1965 "Leo Fender" and "Don Randall" sold Fender to CBS. With the acquisition by CBS and the change from a small business to a large company, previous proponents believed that the production of high quality instruments based on handcrafting would cease. Fender's staff was not to be replaced. However, this was reversed by a promise made to the Fender staff to "carry on Leo's work and continue to produce high quality instruments.

This 1966 Jazz Bass is an early CBS sale, and the paddle pegs give it a vintage look. The sound of this model is no different from the previous ones, and it has a rich sound with warmth and presence in its fatness. The round board, in which the gluing surfaces of the fingerboard and neck are joined in line with the fingerboard's curvature, is another feature of this model, and its good balance in all registers is one of its charms. The fretboard is set up with 1.5mm at the 12th fret.
