Description

This is truly a once in a lifetime instrument. Here we have a practically dead mint 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in its original factory black finish. This guitar has only had two owners; it literally sat in its case its entire life, un-played. There are no signs of wear, dings, fading, or checking and even the back of the neck feels new. The body does not black-light which is consistent with other custom colors of the era with no clear coat. All nail holes are present on the body. Regarding blacklight, if it did sit in the case its whole life it would have not been exposed to nearly enough UV to make it glow as you would expect. Included with the guitar is an equally mint original hardshell case, Jazzmaster hang tag, Tolex hang tag, bridge cover, tremolo arm, case keys and strap! The ONLY modification on this guitar is the swapped bridge pickup. This guitar was sold to CME by its original owner and the original bridge pickup went dead at some point in its life. The original bridge pickup needs to be rewound and is included. The fine folks at CME installed a Lollar, it was desoldered at the pickup leads as to preserve all the original solder joints. Pots date to late 1959, Serial Number dates to 1960. No penciled neck date as is standard with 59-60 Fender Electrics.
