1961 Fender Jazzmaster, Sunburst, Slab Board. This beautiful Jazzer has a refinished body and neck, but is otherwise in absolutely pristine condition. All hardware, plastic, and electronics are in incredibly clean condition, and makes one wonder why this guitar was refinished.
As stated, all electronics are original, as is the hardware, The Tortoise guard is in remarkably good condition, with little shrinkage, and sits flat. The neck features and excellent pro refret, and the fingerboard is pristine.
Different tuners were on the guitar at one point, and an additional string tree was added. Currently, the original Single Line Klusons are back on the guitar, and the extra string tree hole has been professionally repaired.
Note that although the finish work was not done by Fiesta Finishes™, the work is of the highest professional standard, and the buyer will be extremely pleased with how the guitar presents in hand.
The guitar weighs 8.1 lbs. The serial number is 55XXX, The neck is a full C shape, measuring .800" at 1st fret, and .958" at 12th fret. The original pickups measure 8.9K Ohms at the neck and 8.1K Ohms at the bridge. The neck date is 6-61 and the body date is 8/61.
It's astonishing how clean this guitar is. Although it is refinished, it can easily pass as an original near mint guitar. It sounds and plays great.
The guitar ships in a new C&G brown Tolex case, as used on Custom Shop guitars.
