Another fine early-sixties Jazzmaster. Lots of good honest play wear and terrific vintage tone provide all the mojo you could want. We’ve had a number of sixties Jazzmasters come through the shop over the past year, and this is one of our favorites.
The L24827 serial number dates the guitar to early 1964, but the neck stamp is December 1963. It’s not uncommon for neck stamps or pot codes to vary from serial number dates as Fender used whatever parts were at hand when building guitars.
New nut, replaced saddles, and non-original tremolo bar are the only mods. Otherwise, this baby is all original. Clay dots. Original frets in excellent shape. Nice low action and dreamy neck. This Jazzmaster is a joy to play!
