Welcome to JTKM STUDIO.
Here we have a mint condition, collector grade, early 1964 Fender Jazzmaster complete with its serial number hang tag, bridge cover, tremolo arm and clean white Tolex case. If you’re a buyer, read on! ]
As always, we will let the photos do most of the talking in terms of its condition. Take a moment to check out the immaculate sunburst finish which is fully original, there is no touch up whatsoever. There are only a few tiny marks on the lower contours from being stored in its case. The Jazzmaster is all original aside from a replaced nut. This replacement has been done to the upmost standard using a correct aged bone nut and I honestly believe that if I did not tell you this you would not know. The original nut is included in the case.
There is some minor yellowing to the finish on the headstock which is quite typical from exposure to various light over its near 60 years of existence. As to be expected and especially with Jazzmasters, there is some minor warping to the original pickguard but there are no breaks, cracks or repairs.
The neck dates to December 1963 and has a B nut width. The neck has a full and rounded feel throughout. The headstock decal is exceptionally clean and we are happy to say is a spaghetti logo. The original frets are in excellent shape. The pots date to the 24th week of 1964. The pickups are fully original with readings 7.62 ohms at the neck and 8.18 ohms at the bridge. All soldering, wirings and masking tape is fully original and never been overflowed, replaced or repaired. There is a small crack on the headstock end of the case but it is still solid.
The Jazzmaster offers you a very loud and warm classic Jazzmaster tone with a particularly amazing and strong sound bridge pickup. Plug into a blond Fender amp equipped with a period correct Fender Reverb tank and that is all you’ll ever need!
There you have it, yet another collector grade Fender Jazzmaster from the golden era at JTKM STUDIO.
