Description

Summary: The Fender Jazzmaster was introduced in the late 1950’s at the NAMM show & was originally designed to be an upgrade to the legendary Stratocaster. The Jazzmaster has remained relevant with the modern player & continues to be one of Fender’s most desired instruments. This particular Fender is from 1966 – this guitar is in great shape & it ships in the original hardshell case.

Body: Solidbody offset double cutaway electric guitar with a wonderful vintage sunburst finish.

Neck: 1 piece maple neck with a fully bound rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, block inlays, 1 9/16” nut width, 25.5” scale length, Kluson Deluxe 6-in-line tuning keys.

Pickups/Hardware: Two original Jazzmaster single-coil pickups in white plastic covers. Three-ply tortoiseshell plastic pickguard. Original Jazzmaster bridge and vibrato assembly with arm. Selector switch for rhythm or lead tone circuit. Three position pickup selector for lead circuit. Volume and tone roller controls for rhythm circuit. Chromed hardware. Kluson Deluxe tuners, six in a line.

Cosmetics: This vintage Fender is in good shape – there are normal signs of wear associated with a guitar from the mid 1960’s such as pick scratching, several small nicks & dings, buckle rash on the back of the guitar & some wear around the edges of the headstock. Structurally this guitar is in fantastic shape & the cosmetic wear only adds character & charm to this vintage beauty.

Playability: This vintage Fender plays great – the instrument has recently been set up with a new set of 10’s and the action is low & the guitar plays great up & down the fingerboard.

Modifications: N/A

Weight: 8 lbs, 1 oz.

Case: This Fender comes with the original hardshell case & the whammy bar
