Fender and Replay Guitar Exchange are pleased to present a special signature bass for a special player and producer - the JMJ Signature Mustang Bass. Known as a true renaissance man of the modern music scene, Justin Meldal-Johnsen is a multi-talented player, music director and producer. From playing bass for Nine Inch Nails and Beck to producing for M83, Paramore, Wolf Alice, Young The Giant, Jimmy Eat World, Tegan and Sara, and many others, JMJ defies boundaries: just like his new signature bass. This Road-Worn series instrument was faithfully modeled after Justin’s beloved Daphne Blue ’66 model, and features a short-scale 30” maple neck with rosewood board that makes it easier to comfortably reach the lower frets while maintaining Fender's punchy bass sound. Also on board is a custom-spec pickup voiced as closely to Justin’s vintage original as possible, plus vintage-style hardware including a bridge with single-groove saddles for a classic look with plenty of stability and sustain. There's also an aged pearl pickguard for a cool retro vibe, Hipshot "Lollipop" tuners and a bunch of other touches that for sure are bold on stage and in the studio.
