2011 Fender Mexico Classic Series '72 Telecaster Custom, a reissue of the original 1972 Telecaster Custom.
Built at Fender's Ensenada factory in Baja California, the 2011 Fender Mexico Classic Series '72 Telecaster Custom is a reissue of the original 1972 Telecaster Custom. It has a Bullet truss rod to adjust the neck from the head side, a three-point neck joint with a micro-tilt built into the neck joint to adjust the neck joint angle, a large pickguard that extends to the controls, and other features that make it a very distinctive model from that era.
The Telecaster with humbucking pickups is unique among Fender guitars. This humbucking pickup was designed by Seth Lover, who is also known as the developer of Gibson's original humbucking P.A.F. This humbucking pickup has a sound that is both fat with sound pressure while retaining the high frequencies that are typical of Fender. This Telecaster can be used for a wide range of sounds, from a crisp Telecaster sound to a warm humbucking sound.
