1966 Mustang
The Mustang was developed after the Student models Musicmaster and Duo-sonic, which were launched in 1956 and 1964, respectively.
While the Musicmaster and Duo-sonic were built with cost limitations in mind, the Mustang was built by Leo Fender with the technology and knowledge of the time.
The dynamic vibrato unit, developed to combine the large sound quality change of a synchro tremolo with the light arming of a floating tremolo, gives the Mustang a dynamic vibrato that, as the name implies, makes it uniquely unique.
The PU selector has two mini-switches that can be used to turn each PU on or off or to phase out sounds.
1966 was also the first year that the rosewood fingerboard was switched to a round board, and subsequent Mustangs would use a round rosewood fingerboard.
The tight and bouncy sound that cannot be imagined from the moderate tension of the short scale can be produced, and the feeling of fullness when cutting or distorting with a clean tone is very pleasant.
Some phase-out sounds have a little less output, but this one maintains its output well, so you can fully feel the individuality of the phase sound.
This is a very easy-to-handle vintage Mustang!
