This is 1967 “Mustang” model in red finished, with a round laminated rosewood fingerboard and B-neck.
This model was introduced as a student model in 1964 and is still popular as a flagship model of Fender's short scale guitars.
The neck date is '66, the pot date is '67, and the front and rear pickups are both original black bobbins with the date written in pencil, but it is not identifiable.
There are shaving marks on the fingerboard, the switch/jack/wiring material are replaced, re-fret & re-nut, and there are 2 cracks in the wood from the screw holes on the pickguard.
The tremolo arm and the original hard case are missing and the guitar comes with an Ibanez hard case.
The play-wear over time is seen and there are multiple paint peeling and floating on the back of the neck and body, but the frets are about 70% remaining and the guitar still keeps excellent playability.
Neck : Maple
Case: Ibanez Hard Case
