The Fender Mustang debuted in 1964 as a quality electric guitar at an affordable price. Leo’s team packed it with cool features like the offset body design, tremolo tailpiece and two pickups with phase switchable wiring. It featured a slab body that came finished in Dakota Red, Daphne Blue or Olympic White which were custom colors for other Fender models. Since this model was in the student level camp, they just called them Red, White or Blue.
This Dakota Red Mustang is all original and ready to go on the road. The frets are near perfect and the neck is dead flat resulting in excellent playability. All electronics are original and have been cleaned and adjusted. The setup is perfect with proper saddle height, pickup height and neck adjustment. This vintage fender guitar comes with its original case!
