Sporting the Competition Red paint scheme with a racing stripe over red metallic paint, this 1972 Mustang draws plenty of attention. Are you looking for an introduction to the world of vintage Fender offset guitars? Here is the perfect choice.
This Mustang has not been modified from factory specifications, and retains all of the original wiring and electronics. The potentiometer date code of 7205 gives us the 5th week of 1972 and the faint neck stamp shows January 1972. Even the frets are original. There is a trace of wear on the first three frets but still plenty of miles left to drive before a fret dress. Overall the guitar is in nice condition with a few paint chips and scratches highlighted in the photos. Note the added string tree which is easy enough to remove if you prefer. Includes the original tremolo arm and case, which shows some damage and lots of wear with one missing latch.
We accept the following forms of payment: Major credit cards, Bank wire transfer, Zelle, Personal check and Cash in person. Most personal checks clear within 3 business days, but please allow up to 10 business days for checks to clear. We will keep you updated and ship the instrument as soon as we are notified by the bank that the check has cleared processing.
All instruments are carefully packed in new, high strength shipping cartons. Amplifiers ship in double wall boxes with rigid foam support. Packing material is carefully placed to cushion impact and provide crush resistance. Each shipment is fully insured against loss or damage through Heritage Musical Instrument Insurance Co. Boxes are unmarked for security with signature required. For most domestic shipments, we use FedEx 2 day service. If you prefer another carrier or require overnight delivery, contact us to discuss the options. We can also arrange hold for pickup at your local FedEx location.
LIMITED WARRANTY: For your peace of mind, Original Vintage Guitars, LLC (“we,” “us” or “our”) offers the Buyer (“you” or “your”) a 48-hour approval period on all instruments shipped within the USA. From the time of delivery, you have 48 hours in which to inspect the instrument and verify its condition to your satisfaction. If your expectations are not met, notify us by e-mail within the 48-hour approval period and we will authorize a return. Return shipping and insurance costs are your responsibility. The instrument must be returned to us unmodified, in the same condition it was received. Your failure to notify us within the 48-hour approval period window constitutes full and final acceptance of the instrument “as-is, where-is.” In person purchases are final. Sales within the state of Florida are subject to state and county sales tax. For vintage amplifiers, if a speaker cone or tube is damaged in transit, we will arrange for and cover the cost of speaker reconing and replace broken tubes with like parts. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method or by check at our sole discretion, less any payment fees or shipping costs. In no event are we liable for consequential or special damages or for transportation, installation, adjustment or other expenses which may arise in conjunction with the instruments or parts. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
