Here's a 1951 Fender Nocaster converted in a "Payola" style. These guitars were built by recording studio/musicians in the early 1950's in order to get paid 3 times for one track, by going through 3 different amps at once. Bruce Springstein's Tele was once setup like this. Everything on the guitar functions as it was intended, and sounds amazing!! The neck dates to July 20, 1951. Original body, neck, paint, and bridge pickup. All the plates, knobs, pots, and output jacks are also from 1951. Two tuner gears have been replaced, while the others are original. The switch tips are repro's. The work done to the guitar done was in 1951, using '51 or older parts. The original neck pickup was modified and moved to the middle position, in order to put the P-90 in the neck. That pickup recently had to be replaced, and currently has a Seymour Duncan vintage style pickup. The neck pickup is a late 40's Gibson P-90, and as mentioned, the original bridge pickup to the guitar is still there (and sounds incredible). The guitar plays great, with low action down the fingerboard. Classic full profile Nocaster neck that fits like a glove in your hand. Once in a lifetime guitar here! Original thermometer case included!
