Description

Summary: As the first production model bass guitar, the Fender Precision bass was an absolutely revolutionary instrument upon its introduction in 1951. The Precision or P Bass evolved throughout the ‘50s with changing electronics, body shape, and cosmetic details. This black beauty is from 1983 and it gives you that classic, simple, legendary precision that a P-Bass is known for. This bass also includes the original hardshell case.

Body: Double cutaway solid-body

Neck: Maple neck with the skunk stripe on the back and a maple fingerboard. 20 frets, black dot inlays, 1.75” nut width, 34” scale length

Pickups/Hardware: Split P-bass pickup, one volume knob, one tone knob, chrome hardware, original Fender tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This P-bass is in pretty good shape but it does show some wear from being used over the years. There are several small dings and scratches on the body but most of the scratches are hard to see unless you are holding the instrument in your hands. There are also a few small nicks on the headstock & around the edges of the neck. All of the wear is consistent with an instrument that was made in the early 1980’s.
Playability: This vintage P-bass plays and sounds great. The instrument plays with no buzzing or dead spots & the action is set low & comfortable.

Modifications: N/A

Weight: 9 lbs, 5 oz.

Case: Original hardshell case
