Here's a special one...Fender Precision Bass from 1952!

This is one of the earliest P-Bass ever made, as it has a body date of March 3rd, 1952...and the serial number is 0038. The bass has a slab body, black bakelite pickguard, and a 1-piece maple neck & fingerboard. The neck is AMAZING! It has a nice round soft V profile that feels incredible in your hands. The bass plays like butter, with low action, and wonderful string tension. The frets are in nice condition as well, with plenty of life left. The original single coil pickup sounds out of this world good! It's fat and warm, with great clarity. Coming in at 8.8lbs, it's light and extremely resonant. Everything on the bass is original, except for the volume pot. The cavity was ever so slightly enlarged for the pot when it was added. The rest of the bass is untouched and perfect.

This exact bass was also featured in Detlef Schmidt's book, "Fender Precision Bass: 1951-1954." This book is the authority and best reference book out there on black guard P-Bass's, and the bass has 3 pages dedicated to it!

Just a spectacular bass for both the collector and player! Rare original gig bag included!
