Description

Here we have a truly delicious bass, a 1952 Precision Bass to be exact. Awesome playing neck with nice big frets and very little wear on the maple fingerboard. This bass plays and sounds so great. It has that deep round tone that made Precision basses the go-to bass for professionals from the beginning.

This model has the classic Tele-style headstock, of course, as well as the original pickup and bridge covers, and the big curvy black pickguard. A real beauty and all original.

The overall condition is excellent, but the body has been refinished by our friends at Portland Fretworks. A prior owner stripped the finish from the upper and lower sections of the top leaving a triangular patch of original finish in the middle. So we had this one brought back to its former glory!

All original 51-54 Precision basses in excellent condition are commanding upwards of $30K these days, but this sweet 1952 bass is listed at $17,999. That’s a huge savings for a fabulous second-year Precision bass!
