This incredible 1961 P-bass was in the possession of its previous owner for over 35 years, and after playing it, it's easy to see why someone would want to hold onto this one! The great playing neck features a dark Brazilian Rosewood "slab" fingerboard with clay dot inlays, as well as an early "Spaghetti" logo. Exceptionally light weight, this is one of the most resonant basses we've ever had. The original three-tone sunburst finish has the kind of player wear that can only come from years of being played by the same person. A decades-old and stable crack in the middle of the body make this a truly incredible "Player's" bass. Precision basses set the standard for electric bass tones, and this 1961 model is a truly killer example!
