Description

Talk about a player! This superb playing Pre-CBS P-Bass has seen a lot of gigs, as it should. The best sounding guitars get played.. alot. This one, believe it or not, is a very old refin, but has such a cool vibe that it looks like its original. But don't judge it on originality as standard things have been changed, as any player who needed a working instrument would have changed them over the last 50 years! The neck is all original and dated MAY 64, except for the repro tuners, brass nut, and small hole from added string tree. Its straight and feels worn/nice, the logo is original as is the neck finish. Looks like just the first 7 frets have been replaced as the others look original and in great shape. As I said, the body is an old refin, but its light and super resonant. The bass weighs a shade over 8 lbs. The bridge is a repro, as are the knobs, and the pots are dated 1995. Pickup is straight out of 1964, as is the original tortoise guard and other hardware, L series backplate, but its missing the covers and original case. It comes in a very nice padded gig-bag. If you want an old P-bass to play and not fuss over... here it is.
