Description

This is a one owner Fender P-Bass from early 66. The one owner (a woman, by the way) played the crap out of it and it shows. The LPB is looking a whole lot like Sherwood Green especially where there is no arm wear but you can see plenty of blue showing its true color. Good news...both original covers are still there. Bad news...the guard is cracked in three places but is holding together. The neck shows a hairline crack along the grain. It is not structural and probably caused by overtightening the truss rod. It has been repaired and the truss rod is fully functional. It was just refretted and plays well. It is all original with its original case (no logo). The original bill of sale is included dated 7/3/66. Neck date is February 66. I didn't pull the guard due to the cracks but the original owner tells me it was never worked on. I just restrung it and it sounds great. neck is fairly large and typical of a P-Bass from the era. CBS didn't mess with the P-Bass right away so, other than the pearl dots (and the price), it's pretty much the same as a 64.
