Fender basses of the 70's have a strong image of ash body, but it is said that until around 1975, alder and ash wood were mixed together.
This bass was made in 1972, before the switch to ash, and consists of an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The pickups are still original and the body has fine weather checks.
It has a full sound from low to middle, which is unique to the alder body, and the sound is warmer than what you would expect from the so-called "Prebe of the 70's".
This is a must-try for those who are looking for a plebe with the sound of the 60's!
