DESCRIPTION
For your consideration a 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb! The original non-reverb Princeton was introduced in 1947, these first renditions were essentially souped up Champs. It wasn’t until 1961 when they redesigned the circuit, that it would start to take on the form were most familiar with! In ’63 they changed the tone knob to a Bass and a Treble knobs. And in ’64 they came out with the Princeton Reverb which of course has Reverb and Tremolo! This is the amp people know and love today, basically a small version of the Deluxe!
Specs! 12 watts all tube. 10″ speaker. Knob lay out Volume, Treble, Bass, Reverb, Speed and Intensity. The filter caps have been replaced, it has been retubed, the speaker was replaced with a 70s Fender speaker. The power cable has been upgraded to a three prong. Does not include a foot switch.
These amps are absolutely money! Perfect amount of wattage to get a beautiful warm clean tone as well as a lush harmonically dense overdrive. Once you start to crank it or push it with a pedal it breaks up wonderfully with out needing to get ear bleeding loud. Classic Fender Reverb and Tremolo, doesn’t get better than that! At 28 pounds your gonna be thanking yourself for ditching the 65 pound Super Reverb! Plenty loud enough for most ensembles, super easy to mic for gigs with a sound system. Almost everyone is ditching the heavy, overly loud amps for these fantastic little Fender amps!
