Description
Fender’s Princeton Reverb is an iconic amplifier that has become one of the most desirable recording amps today. Its versatile platform is just as comfortable at home, in the studio or at a gig. It’s powered by a pair of 12ax7 preamp tubes driving two 6v6 power tubes making about 12 watts of power. It’s tube rectified and uses a 12at7 and 7025 to drive the spring reverb and tremolo section. Unlike the reissue, the original Princeton Reverb is all hand wired using an eyelet board to keep everything clean. The resulting amplifier boasts big cleans, smooth overdriven tones, classic Fender reverb, and some of the finest tremolo around.

This 1978 Fender Princeton Reverb has just come to us via the original owner. Jerry said he purchased it to play with his Telecaster and played it in his home for a few years before putting it away. Jerry kept the cover, footswitch, and all the paperwork and said that he never repaired or modified anything. We don’t usually see the tail Fender logo on grill cloths this late so it’s possible that the logo or grill cloth has been changed. The amp is in good playing condition and sounds good for thick cleans and low gain drive.
