1993 Fender Sam Hutton Champ amplifier clock
Sam Hutton worked for Fender building amplifiers for 35 years. He also made these clocks that looked like the face of a Fender amp. This one has a tweed cover and "Champ" badge. The clock is in excellent working and cosmetic condition, there is one small scuff/scrape on the grill cloth on the lower left that is surface only, it is not a tear. This clock has the typical stamp that Hutton used on the back of his clocks that reads "Created & Produced by Sam Hutton, Fullerton, CA" and "Vintage Fender Amplifier Cabinet Restoration". But it also has a personal inscription on the back written in sharpie marker that reads "To Art, From Sam, 4-30-93" The "Art" in the inscription is a reference to Art Dudley, who was a guitar player and author who was often published in Listener and Stereophile (where he was an associate editor) among other audiophile publications, and guitar magazines such as Fretboard Journal. This clock hung in Art's home workshop until his passing. Very cool addition to your music room. I generally ship by UPS and will ship an item within 48 hours (usually the next day) of having received or cleared payment. Exact shipping costs will be added to the total for the buyer once the buyer has provided a shipping address. I insure everything for fulll purchase price.
Items are sold with a 48 hour approval period unless clearly marked "AS IS" in the listing. AS IS items are not returnable. If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned. Once an item is returned to Kovacik Guitars and judged to be in the same condition as when originally sold a full refund will be issued.
