2003 Fender Standard Stratocaster Left-Handed Black

Excellent condition featuring double cutaway contoured alder body with black finish, multi-ply parchment white plastic pickguard, three Stratocaster single coil pickups with white parchment plastic covers, one volume control and two tone controls with parchment white plastic skirted knobs, five way pickup selector switch with white plastic tip, elongated oval shaped output jack mounted to the front treble side of the body, six point pivot tremolo bridge with six individual fully adjustable Fender bent steel stamped saddles, bolt on maple neck with walnut skunkstripe, maple fingerboard with black dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, small Fender Stratocaster peghead with Fender block logo, Stratocaster logo, serial number and Made in Mexico on the front of the peghead, single butterfly string tree, six in a line Fender chrome sealed stamped tuning machines, four bolt neck fastening plate, single ply white parchment plastic tremolo cavity cover plate, two metal strap buttons and black padded gig bag. This guitar weighs 8lb 6oz.

This 2003 Fender Standard Series Stratocaster is in excellent, virtually unplayed cosmetic condition with the exception of one small scratch on the back of the body on the treble side horn (see photos). The neck profile is that of a nice C shape and feels great in hand. The frets on this Stratocaster have virtually no signs of play wear throughout and have a lifetime of use left in them. The original single coil pickups in this guitar sound great and deliver clear bell like tones in every position. These pickups are very well-balanced and sound fantastic through a clean or dirty amplifier. The six point pivot tremolo system is set up well and works smoothly and the tuning machines are in great working order. It’s hard to believe that this instrument is 18 years old! The Fender Standard Series guitars are no longer being produced by Fender and have always been well regarded as workhorse instruments of great quality.
