Throughout his career, his constant workhorse companion guitar has been a 1959 Stratocaster affectionately called Coma. The Fender Stories Collection Michael Landau Coma Stratocaster represents the guitar as it exists now. Built in America, it features a '59 alder solidbody with a Coma Red satin nitro lacquer finish and a tortoishell pickguard. The unique custom C-shape maple neck is smooth and perfect, home to a slab rosewood fingerboard.
Electronics include custom-designed ML Ultra Noiseless Strat neck-and-middle pickups and a custom Wide Range humbucking pickup in the bridge position. The six-screw vintage-style Stratocaster tremolo with cold-rolled steel block and Fender ClassicGear tuning machines offer perfect control, while the awesome Floyd Rose route updates the Strat with a unique design.
