1966 Fender® Strat® Candy Apple Red, Mint, Hard, $14,995.00

This is a beautiful 1966 Fender Strat in Leo’s favorite custom color: Candy Apple Red. They just don’t get much cleaner than this example: one of the cleanest vintage guitars I’ve gotten in, similar in condition to a lefty 64 LPB Strat I had 4 years ago.

Vintage Strats, especially the more desirable custom colors, are getting harder and harder to find in this condition – just a handful of minute dings and light scratches on the front, back, and sides, no worming on the back whatsover, some light wear on the first 6 frets.

There is very little checking on the CAR finish – it is in beautiful condition with a very strong and vibrant CAR color. The back and front of the headstock has some moderate checking, but that’s it. You know what the typical vintage Strat looks like – this is definitely not that guitar!

This guitar has been fully inspected and set-up by Scott Freilich of Top Shelf Music, authorized Fender repair center since 1979.

Plays very well and has the resonance and killer tone you would expect from a great vintage Strat!
