Description

We’ve got an incredible, original piece for you, this beautiful 1954 Fender Stratocaster in Sunburst! This particular guitar retains what we believe to be its original, vintage thick gauge strings (except for the high e), and we’ve left them intact for the new owner to decide how to preserve them. We bought this guitar from its original owner in 2007, who was gifted it as a kid and played it for a few months before losing interest and sticking it in its case for decades. The strings (except for the high e) have not been changed since we purchased this guitar, which is why we believe them to be original. The fretboard has a beautiful patina, showing its age, and some light wear to the fingerboard, pointing to the few months the original owner spent playing this beauty! The original bakelite components are all present and intact, including the short-skirt knobs. The guitar has the “found in the closet/under the bed” feel, and now is your chance to make it your own!

We’ve written a blog post about the story behind this guitar and its purchase; check it out here!
