Early 1956 Strat with ASH BODY. Tight grain, the guitar is in excellent shape and weighs about 7.75 lbs. Great tone comes out of these early Strats, different from the later alder body 56's. They seem to punch a little more, and this one is no exception.
Big chunky neck feels great. The frets are worn but I think there is plenty of life left in them. The nut has been changed, but the original is in the case. The bakelite is in tact but shows some wear, only thing missing is the vibrato arm tip which has been replaced with a later 50s plastic tip. All the electronics are original except the treble and middle pickups have been professionally rewound. The pots date the 33rd week of 1955.
Comes with the original tweed case.
