1957 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

I'm not a Fender guy but I think everybody should have at least one in their arsenal. As a Gibson 335 player, I figured a Strat would be the one to have but I never play it. It's a wonderful guitar with a killer neck but, as I mentioned, I never play it. It is by no means original. The body is a refinished 57 (date code is intact). Refinish is very well done and the contours look perfect. The neck is an aftermarket neck from the 90's made by a gentleman named Elliot Mechanic out of Montreal. His necks were very popular before the Fender Custom Shop got its act together. It is an über flamey hard V profile. Great feel, great look. The pickups and electronics are Fender Custom Shop (5 way switch). The hardware is all Fender except (maybe) the neck plate. Not sure where that came from. The case is a modern Fender tweed. This will make a player very happy. I played it along side a stock 56 I have for sale and it held its own.
