Weight 7 lbs, 2 oz! Neck is "slim" - .80" at 1st fret, ,99" at 12th. Nut width is 1.66.5".
Body only refinished recently by a local artist that has done numerous vintage style Nitro finishes for us.
He masked off cavities to highlight original sealer AND date of 10/59 in back.
As with quite a few '59's, there's no pencil date on neck (yes, it happened).
The pickguard is a very well done aged accurate replica we've had for a number of years, waiting for the right guitar.
ALL hardware/components are original with the exception of pickguard and claw screws, and rubber pu "doughnuts". The arm is likely later as well, but not recent. SEE PHOTOS.
The only solder joints touched are the ground to the claw, and from the jack. We know the history of it since the mid '70's, long before anyone was faking things or cobbling guitars together. Feel free to ask about it.
Electronics and plastic parts totally original.
Under the new finish there are a few dings (a couple are shown, we decided to leave them, so "aging" is optional for new owner).
There IS some fretwear, so if you're finicky and/or really gonna play it you'll likely want to have that taken care of, AND I'd consider covering that expense for you if done at a "normal" rate by a reputable luthier.
There's some "honest" playwear on back of neck (again, see photos).
Comes with a mid '70's Fender case (good cond) that was acquired when it was first stripped and "verathaned" to natural.
