1961 Fender Stratocaster. This Slab Board guitar is all original, other than a pro refret done by Gary Brauer in San Francisco. The guitar includes some often missing parts on old Strats, including original bridge cover, original trem cover, and original trem arm.
All electronics are original. All hardware is original. All plastic is original. All finish work is original.
The body has quite a few chips and dings, but the finish is otherwise in good condition. The neck finish is nicely worn on the playing area on the back of the neck, but decal and headstock finish are in good condition. The guitar plays and sounds excellent.
The serial number is 60XXX. The guitar weighs 7.7 lbs. The medium C shaped neck measures .785" at 1st fret and .978" at 12th fret. The pickups give nice, consistent vintage readings, neck to bridge, 5.6K, 5.5K and 5.7K Ohms.
The original gold lined brown Tolex case is fairly worn, but all hinges and latches work, and it is structurally sound.
This is a very nice original Slab Board Stratocaster.
